The end of the space age… OR IS IT?

Ladies(?) and gents, apologies for the long wait, but hopefully it’s worth it! (IT SURE AS HELL WAS FOR ME) We are proud to present the 20th and final chapter (HAHA, KIND OF BUT MORE ON THAT LATER) of Lost Universe!

Lost Universe, LOST 20: [THE END]
Read Online

This chapter! Edited and typeset by ZippyZippy! Scanned and QC’d by Melfra! And translated by yours truly! Special thanks to everyone on the staff who’s worked on the previous chapters, including c0de_da1sy, Kaori, AND OF COURSE, Tom the Mighty. It may have taken a while, but I loved the hell out of Lost Universe, and I’m sad to see it go. The anime might have been complete garbage, BUT THE MANGA WAS AWESOME. Wait, why am I using past-tense? There’s still another volume left!

THAT’S RIGHT LADIES AND GENTS, get ready for Lost Universe: Special! This is a standalone successor to the story, featuring a brand-spankin’-new villain and story. The art style’s a little different since it was published about three years after the manga, but it’s still buckets and buckets of fun. Stay tuned!

Another release!? By George, I think you’ve got it! We’ve been ridiculously productive lately and a lot of our series are coming to a end very, very soon, so keep those peepers peeled, ’cause we’re about to go indulgent on your reader arses.

Oh! Speaking of which, we’ve got a few new announcements! Firstly, Melfra just finished revamping the online reader! Not only is the layout badass as all get-out, but for those of you who shied away because the images were TOO DAMN BIG, she also added an option to resize the pages — and it still looks better than anything else you’ll find on any other reader. (Mangafox, I’m looking at you and your shitty resize algorithms.) Give ‘er a whirl and tell us what you think! (Coming soon: Oneshots and doujinshi!)

Second, and this is more of a reminder than anything, you can now find us on Tumblr!

And now that we’ve got that out of the way, IT’S NEW RELEASE TIME.

Bet you thought I was going to use Kain and or Milly again. Fair assumption. I ship it with the fury of fifteen dying suns.

IN THIS CHAPTER OF LOST UNIVERSE! Text and imperfections were BLASTED with impudence by c0de_da1sy! Letters were affixed in place with a SPACE STAPLER by Zippy! And at the control panel was Melfra, monitoring our progress and making sure we didn’t take the whole damn ship down with us. (Meanwhile, I stood at the helm muttering about fate and destiny just moments before we were blasted into oblivion by the good ship QUALITY, so I guess none of it really mattered anyway.)

ENJOY YOUR READ, ME HARTIES This post is now a seafaring joke. SERIES ENDS NEXT CHAPTER! (Then again, there’s a whole ‘nuther EX volume after this, so take that as you will, lawl)

Again, we’re still looking for staff! Sudden change of heart: ALL POSITIONS ARE NOW OPEN! We’ve got spots for typesetters, QCs, and editors! What are the benefits to joining staff? I’M GLAD YOU ASKED. Get first crack at claiming projects! YOU decide what’s released next! YOU decide what to work on! And you get to read new chapters before anybody else, plus access to RIDICULOUS staff events! (Like meetups, cookie exchanges, and generally really weird, stupid, and/or awesome shit.) We’re in OMEGA need of editors, because we legit have NO ONE. Halp. Halp us plz.

Ain’t nothin’ but a thang

Edit: V2 is up.

You know, there has to be something positive that can be said for procrastination. Sure, it destroys projects, and sure, it can build strains on relationships… But boy, is it great for catching up on video games! (God forbid said video game is actually a corrupted file that freezes up at the exact. same. point. every time you play, and it’d been so long since you’d last popped ‘er in that you completely forgot that was why you’d stopped playing in the first place, in which case you’ve just wasted a week doing absolutely nothing of value.)

But don’t let me try to convince you that a heavy serving of lethargy is the only thing I’ve had on my plate for the past month or so. Nay, dear reader. In fact, there was a terrifying moment where I’d dumped an entire steaming glass of tea all over my laptop, after which I spent an entire week chewing on my nails from nerves while I waited for it to dry out. (Some of the keys are still sticking, even! Please excuse the wayward typo.)

“But Reb,” you say with a knowing look, “That only accounts for one week. What else have you been up to?”
I can only say to you, dear reader, as I look deeply into the depths of your [insert romantic color here] eyes, “That’s a secret.” But here, have a hint!

Ever hear of “Christmas in July?”

But wow, that’s enough inanity from me for one night! HAVE SOME LOST UNIVERSE.

Moving the way turtles do

Our favorite frenchie. ♥

Ahem. WELCOME TO NEW RELEASE DAY. In typical Turtle Fashion (TM), we’re bringing you… the same damn series we released two weeks ago? Well, ha-ha. Ain’t that grand. GOOD THING THEY’RE MY FAVORITES. (Disclaimer: EVERY TURTLE PROJECT IS MY FAVORITE.) Also ditching the “24 hours before download is available” thing ’cause it didn’t work out anyway. SOBBING GET MY STUFF OFF YOUR READERS GUYS, YOU’RE DEFEATING THE PURPOSE OF SCANLATIONS. ALSO. Stick around after the release announcements to see why the hell it’s still taking us so long to release stuff, and what you might be able to do to help.

This chapter is why I hate Canal with everything I have. I don’t care how they try to explain it all away later on. I see this figure, and all the only expression I see on her face is “Teehee, I AM SATAN.”

THIS BALL OF EVERYTHING THAT GIVES ME RAGE was typeset, as always, by the lovely ZippyZippy, edited by c0de_da1sy, and QC’d by Melfra. NEXT!

You know, I’m surprised there wasn’t any discussion about how the way Kizuna acted last chapter. It wasn’t necessarily out-of-character, but it kind of ticked me off all the same. OH WELL SHE’S BACK TO HER MOE-MOE ANTICS THIS TIME AROUND. And then… Well. Asai’s a dick, okay. Let’s leave it at that.

Edited by c0de_da1sy, typeset by Zippy, and QC’d by Melfra and Clov3r. YES THAT WAS THE BEST I COULD COME UP WITH, SORRY GUYS. OTL Hey, I’m burninated out.
