Sure, it might not have been our most popular title, but boy howdy, words can’t express how much love we had for Wild Arms over here at Turtle HQ. Y’all can say what you want, but Maxi is the moe-est kid EVER. Speaking of which, this was published around the same time that Ooba Wakako started doing the designs for Wild ARMS 3. Maybe that explains some things? Such as Guy being a dead-ringer for Clive. HAW.
There’s only one gal with the typographical know-how necessary to wrangle in a title like this, and that’s Zippy! And who’s the mastermind behind all this here GRAPHICAL MASTERY? Why, it’s c0de_da1sy! And let’s not forget Melfra, without whom, hell, this project wouldn’t have been possible. (I’ll tell you what, guys– She was so hell-bent and determined to do this project, she dropped $80 on the two-volume set! HOO BOY, NOW THAT’S DEDICATION.) Now get readin’, y’all!
Now, I must beg our readers for a favor! As a lot of you have pointed out, we took our donation button down quite a while ago due to, well, a crisis of morality. But the thing is, the expenses for TP come entirely out of my and Melly’s pockets, and we could use some help offsetting the cost, so instead of accepting donations, we’ve decided to set up a sales account on Livejournal to sell off some of our anime/manga goods. We’ll be updating regularly, so keep checking in to see if anything catches your eye! If you don’t want to set up an account, feel free to either PM me (rebmastu) on the forum, or drop a comment here.
First, let me say: Happy belated Christmas and new years to our turtle fans, and happy holy shit, fourth anniversary! I don’t know how the hell we’ve managed to hang on this long, but there it is, and here we are. Good job, turtle staff! WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE SO DEDICATED. Ahem. For veterans of the site, most of you know we usually do something called the Twelve Days of Doujinshi leading up to the 6th, our anniversary (being today as of writing, but it will probably be the 7th in actuality once I manage to post this), hooooowever due mostly in part to sheer laziness (on my part– SORRY BROS THE WHEEL OF TIME TURNS AND I’M F*CKIN’ TRAPPED) we’re pushing it back this year be held…Well, some other time. When? I HAVE NO IDEA! But we’ll do it eventually. I don’t know about you guys, but I need my Slayers doujinshi fix or else I just can’t kick off the year right.
But that’s not what you’re here for! You’re here for RELEASES, and hobuddy ARE WE DELIVERING OR WHAT.
First up, Birdcage Manor is BACK! Which I’ve promptly decided to rename “The adventures of moe-moe Asai-kun and his significantly less moe living companions,” for reasons you’ll see there at the right. Where we last left our heroes, a power outage had Kiz’naw and moe-moe Asai-kun trapped in the elevator which, contrary to typical shoujo trappings, didn’t help them in the goddamn least. NOW COMES THE FALL-OUT.
Second! We’re rapidly approaching the conclusion to Wild Arms: Flower Thieves and with only one chapter after this to go, the tensions are high, and the standoffs are bad-ass. Oh, and you can’t have a western without a good ol’ fashioned train-jacking, and Wild Arms, let’s face it, isn’t one to betray tradition. AND THERE IS NOT A THING WRONG WITH THAT — I just wish more of you read it! ;__; Besides, Guy is badass. I mean, come on. Look at that. Unf, unf.
NEXT! We continue on with the much-neglected Lost Universe! (Hah. Slayers joke? Perhaps. CAN YOU TELL I’M OBSESSED) Since I continue to feel obligated to recap each preceding chapter because it’s been SO LONG since we released anything, where we last left off, Raile had convinced Kain & co to taxi him to the U.G. satellite database center, where he sets about collecting security against his “employers” — and appropriately enough, practically any Slayers fan knows the meaning of what he finds. THEN HE SETS THEM UP THE BOMB.
And rounding up our releases for the day, all I can say is please… please, don’t kill me. Because instead of the much, much anticipated ch. 32 (I know you guys are foaming at the bit for it), we have… THE EXTRA CHAPTER THAT CAME AT THE END OF VOL 7. This rounds up volume 7, so now you can download the whole thing in one go. =D On that note, SURE MUTSUKI YOU SLEEP IN A COFFIN AND YOU GET MAD WHEN PEOPLE THINK YOU’RE A VAMP. UH HUH. OKAY.
Why, what’s this? A new chapter of Flower Thieves! Maxi’s making it a habit of sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong and playing the hero as usual (wouldn’t guess it by the look on his face though, lawl); Guy has reservations about their new traveling companion, and we continue on into the (oft-delayed) final arc of the series. Editing this time around brought to you by c0de_da1sy, typeset by Zippy, and QC’d by Melfra and Clov3r.
Now, as if anyone gave a hoot about what I think, it occurred to me while this chapter was in QC that people reading this who may not be familiar with the Wild ARMs series might see the usage of the word “ARM” here in context and be a little confused. The definition of ARM is usually spelled-out in context in whatever entry of the series the term appears, but for some reason, it isn’t really defined here in the manga. In this case, an ARM is a gun; not an arm as in the limb, as, uh, the concern voiced in the QC process for this chapter. Anywho. I’m still not sure if all firearms are ARMs in this series or what, but it’s pretty significant that the new baddie has one and other people know it. END OF LESSON, ENJOY YOUR NEW CHAPTER.

Remember how I said we were going to release some Birdcage? Well, there’s been a bit of a delay… But no worries! It’s tentatively on the plate for tomorrow. REJOICE, EMIYA SHIROU. Then join me in weeping over the project that replaced it today. (WHY DO I KEEP MAKING TYPE-MOON JOKES LATELY.)
Our first release today is, if it wasn’t obvious from the teaser image (and to be honest, it kind of isn’t,) SLH, which is quickly progressing through its final arc, to the benefit of making most of the staff (who worked on it, anywho), Shizuka supporters and Cain h8ters, not that we really needed any help down that road anyway. Cain is a dick, and in this chapter, he’s got that on display full-force — only with a smiley face most of the time, which is Shouoto’s way of asking us to forgive him for being an insufferable cock. It doesn’t work. HELLO, CHARACTER BIAS!
This chapter was made possibly by c0de_da1sy’s mad l337 editing skills (also made possibly by training with the photoshop masters at the summit of Mt. Everest), typeset by Kaori (she partied with Da Vinci in whatever the hell country I can’t be arsed to think of at the moment. SHE’S ALSO A TIME-TRAVELER), and QC’d by Melfra and Cl0ver, who are too goddamn good as it is to have to travel around the world to seek training. THEY ARE THE MASTERS. LEARN FROM THEM.
Moving on to BETTER things (as far as the staff is concerned =D), we have Flower Thieves! As promised last time around, this is the SPECTACULAR conclusion to the Frame of Mind arc. Granted, I’m sure we all kind of figured out where it was going, but… Hell, it was still cute! And the end of this chapter, a familiar face appears…
This chapter was torn to pieces and reassembled by c0de_da1sy in an impressive feat of editing acrobatics, typeset by ZippyZippy’s INSANE PSYCHIC ABILITIES (THERE IS NO PAGE. ONLY TEXT.), and QC’d by Melfra and Clov3r, who enjoy tea with their brunch as they discuss the finer points of my GRAMMATICAL FAILURES.
And rounding off our release day TO-day is some more Lost Universe! Canal and Anise attempt to make due without Kain and Milly around, to DISASTROUS results. Also, flashbacks!
Typesetting this time around was done by Kaori, editing by c0de_da1sy, and QC’d by Melfra and Cl0ver! I’M GETTING DEJA VU OVER HERE, YOU GUYS. GET HELP.
Unfortunately, that’s the last of LU for a little while… Still waiting on more typeset chapters! (HAY GUYS I’M LOOKIN’ ATCHA. LOOKIN’ ATCHA. LOOKIN’ ATCHA.) But in the meantime, that wraps up today’s release day! Keep tuning in this week for some RATHER INTENSE REVELATIONS. And on that note, I apologize for not being my usual HILARIOUS self. I’m moderating myself for the other releases later this week.

Here’s a great, big shout-out to everyone who donated last week! You guys pitched in almost a hundred freakin’ dollars and, as you can see, the site’s still alive and kicking! As an additional bonus, we might even have the cashola to invest in a few new series! (Those will come after we wrap up a couple of our ongoing ones, by the way– and that’ll be sooner than you think!) And don’t worry, fans — We’ve heard your cries for Birdcage, and we’ll be able to deliver on that soon enough. <3
First up, we have the singular most epic, heart-wrenching story I have the honor of translating right now, and no one's reading it! WHY NOT, DAMMIT. Flower Thieves is amazing, Maxi is MOE AS HELL for all you girls out there, and my GOD does it have some of the most epic badass posing I have ever seen! Give it a chance if you haven't already, because it won't be along for much longer. *sob*
This chapter was typeset by the BLAZING AND FURIOUS FINGERS of Zippy, edited by c0de_da1sy, whose image-editing skillz are second only to her mastery of l337-sp34k, and QC'd by the returning dream-team of Melfra and Clov3r. This ends the three-part chapter 8 saga, and next chapter is the MIND-BREAKING conclusion!

I hope you guys are enjoying how Lost Universe is shaping up, because we’re paying that one quite a lot of attention at the moment. =D We’ll be at volume 3 before you know it, folks! In this chapter, witness the mind-boggling and d’awww-inducing family dynamics of the Sword Breaker crew. And boy, is it d’aww-worthy. Bonding over Star Wars (or some incarnation of it)– Melly and I did the same thing with our dad when we were younger, and I’ll bet a lot of you out there did, too.
Unleashing an explosive mass of text over this chapter is Kaori, and c0de_da1sy returns for a TRIUMPHANT TRIUMPH on the editing front, with Clov3r and Melfra BLASTING THEIR WAY THROUGH THE SCRIPT in their magical, mystical QC-Machine.
And here’s the series everyone will skip over the preceding two for. SOB, SOB, SOB. The part that infuriates me the most about the picture above is that Sylph magazine offered it for download as a wallpaper for about a month, but by the time I found out about it, it was a few days after they took it down. I’ve been searching for the damn thing for a year now, with no luck. Hook me up if you’ve got it, and you’ll have a PRETTY TEXTLESS PAGE. <3 And here it is! Thanks for the hook-up, Cere!
Typeset by Kaori, editing by Melfra (HAY MELLY), and give Clov3r and Melfra huge props for actually reading it to make sure my script doesn’t suck more than the story does. (lololol) WE DO THIS FOR YOU, READERS. NOW READ IT, BE GRATEFUL AND STOP TROLLING, GODDAMMIT.
