You know how sometimes when you’re reading something super cringy, your toes start to kind of tingle? And then it moves all the way up your arms, and you start scrunching down into your chair out of sheer second-hand embarrassment while you whimper, “Oh baby boy, pls don’t do this to yourself”?

Hey there– thanks for the head’s-up on that. It’s kind of a long story, but we did volume 8 way, way back in ’09 to fill the gap that CMX (who published up to volume 7 in the US) left when they went under before finishing the series. I mentioned this on Mangadex, but my work on that volume does not in any way stand up to the standards I’ve set for myself/this group in terms of accuracy, writing, or even scan quality, so we’d made the conscious decision to nuke it from our servers until we get to that point in the series and redo it from scratch.

The manga diverges in a fairly significant way from both the novels and the manga at that point in the series, so I sincerely hope no one was spoiled by the chapter titles… Anywho, I’m sorry for the wait. Maybe this is a good incentive to speed things up, haha.

One question. In mangadex, the entire final volume of this manga appeared and is credited to you turtles. Is there any update that was missing or something?
