New Project – Neon Genesis Evangelion Academy

Hah – I feel terrible for not posting about this yesterday… or, uh, whatever day it was that I originally posted this. Turtle Paradise has picked up Neon Genesis Evangelion Gakuen Datenroku (We’re translating it as “Neon Genesis Evangelion Academy: The Record of Heaven’s Descent”), our first serial project! WOOT.

Shinji Ikari spends his days at the NERV Foundation Academy (A catholic school) in a peaceful yet bored stupor, when one night, after witnessing the figures of Rei Ayanami, the object of his affection, and a boy he’s never seen before running from the scene of a violent explosion, he happens to find an odd gem. Soon after, he meets the transfer student Kaworu Nagisa, the fleeing boy he’d seen with Ayanami, and is forcibly recruited to assist Rei, Kaworu, and Asuka Soryuu Langely in fighting the “Angels”, beings who wish to destroy the Earth, because of the “Core” he collected that night.

Well, that’s the best summary I can come up with on the fly.

    NoName,

No prob. Since there are five chapters out already, it’s my goal to release at least one chapter a week until I’m current with the publication; however, since I don’t personally have a subscription to Asuka magazine (that’s expeeensive.), it depends a lot on how fast I receive the raws from my provider.

The series itself is a monthly publication, so that’s about when you can expect the chapter.
